ACCUZYME SE is a patent-pending delivery system that contains the same active ingredients and same units of activity as ACCUZYME (Papain, Urea) Ointment in a convenient delivery form.

Like ACCUZYME Ointment, ACCUZYME SE is a papain-urea debriding product that safely debrides necrotic tissue across a broad pH range.

Papain in ACCUZYME SE effectively liquifies nonviable proteins, including fibrin, collagen, and elastin.

The urea in ACCUZYME SE causes protein molecules present in necrotic tissue to unfold and become susceptible to digestion by papain.

Upon application, a small percentage of patients may occasionally experience a brief stinging sensation when using ACCUZYME SE.
